Sound familiar ?

If any of these everyday moments hit close to home, your ankle isn't just weak — the balance sensors that used to protect it have gone quiet.

Hesitant step at the edge of an uneven kerb

You check the ground before every step

Kerbs, cobbles, stairs : you work out each footfall in advance. That low-level vigilance tires you out more than the walking itself.

Stiff ankle on waking up

The morning ankle that clicks

First steps of the day, a stubborn stiffness, sometimes a click. You have to "warm it up" before the day can really start.

Hiking shoes left unused — activities set aside

Things you used to love, on pause

Hiking, running, tennis, the long walk to the park : you've spaced them out, then quietly stopped. "Not with my ankle."

Living with a long-term weak ankle

« Just a sprain, » they said.

Except around 40 % of so-called minor sprains turn into ongoing ankle instability — that's what the physio research keeps showing, and what NICE guidance on sprain recovery has been pointing to for years.

In regular sports players, up to 70 % get a second sprain within the year. It's not bad luck. It's not your age. It's a balance system nobody told you to wake back up.

Every month that goes by without that wake-up, the sensors quieten down a little more. And 15 to 20 % of weak ankles develop early arthritis.

The result : an ankle that's "not quite right anymore" — and that quietly gets worse.

The Sameo Ankle Support

The ankle support that wakes your ankle up, instead of locking it down.

For 50 years, weak ankles got treated like a ligament problem. That was only half the story.

The Sameo Ankle Support uses gentle continuous compression to keep a steady signal on the balance sensors around your ankle — so your stabilising muscles start reacting in time again, instead of a fraction too slow.

A figure-8 strap with Velcro lets you set the support exactly where you want it — soft for a desk day, firm for a hike or a court session. No rigid splint, no locked joint. Just a knit that sits flat from morning to evening.

Your ankle isn't weak. The sensors went quiet. Help them tune back in.

How it works

4 reasons to wear it every day

Every detail built to wake the ankle up — not lock it down.

  • Gentle compression, 15–20 mmHg

Wakes up the balance sensors without squeezing your circulation.

  • 3D anatomical knit

Breathable mesh, soft padding over the ankle bones, 8+ hours of wear.

  • Figure-8 strap, you set the firmness

Adjust the Velcro for the day : soft at home, firm on the trail.

  • Wears on either foot

Left or right ankle — one product, both sides covered.

Your questions, answered

Everything you need to know before you order.

Most cheap ankle braces are basic compression sleeves. Most pharmacy ones are built for a fresh sprain with heavy strapping. The Sameo Ankle Support sits between the two : made for daily wear on an ankle that's been weak for years, with an adjustable figure-8 strap you can dial in or out depending on the day.

Measure around your ankle, just above the ankle bone, foot flat on the floor : S 19–22 cm — M 22–25 cm — L 25–28 cm — XL 28–31 cm. Between two sizes, go up for comfort or down for firmer support. Not sure ? Email us a quick photo of your tape measure and we'll tell you.

Yes, in most cases. The fabric is slim and the open heel keeps your foot moving naturally. It fits comfortably inside trainers, hiking boots, and most everyday shoes. If your shoes are tight, go up half a size while you're wearing the support, or wear the support without socks at home and put it on after lacing your shoes lightly.

No — and this is the most common worry we hear. Rigid splints and casts do weaken muscles. Our gentle compression (15–20 mmHg) is designed to do the opposite : stimulate the sensors and stabilising muscles around your ankle, not replace them. Think of it as the daily version of the physio exercises you stopped doing after rehab.

Up to 8–10 hours a day, thanks to the breathable knit. Take it off at night — your ankle is at rest and doesn't need the signal. Start with 2–3 hours a day for the first week and build up. You'll feel where it works for your body.

Yes for linear, moderate-intensity sport : brisk walking, hiking, cycling, gentle running, gym work, easy padel. For high-pivot sport (basketball, competitive football or tennis), we'd recommend a heavier-duty taping brace on top during the match — and use the Sameo Ankle Support for everyday wear and recovery between sessions.

Hand wash at 30 °C with mild soap, dry flat away from direct sunlight. No tumble dryer, no fabric softener, no bleach. With daily wear and a wash every 2–3 days, it lasts 6 to 12 months. That's why most regulars order the 2-pack — one on the foot, one in the wash.

You have 30 days to try it. If the size, the feel, the comfort or the result isn't right, email us at hello@mysameo.com and we'll arrange a full refund. No questions, no hidden fees, no restocking charge. Even on the 2-pack.
